The Beach is my favorite place for relaxation or even for a good meal. I am often seen strolling around here during the busy evenings since my building is very close to this heavenly area. I have dined at quite a few restaurants here and one fine day going through my inbox I found this email which surely got a big smile on my face. A lovely angel invited me to a food tour at The Beach, we would get to cook, talk to the chef and of course eat. More importantly meet similar people with the same interest which is ‘Love for food’
So early Saturday morning we gathered at Big Chef and after munching on some breakfast we began our exciting cooking session with the chef. We kneading some dough, a lot of hardwork there but what a fun session it was. Especially after seeing the final baked breads, it looked lovely. Moving on to the next tasting session which was Dri Dri Gelato, here we got to try their frutilicious ice-creams and even saw how a Gelato is made. I absolutely loved the Raspberry sorbet. After taking some picturesque shots of my melting gelato we moved on to our third tasting place.
Now we were at Joe’s Dubai, this restaurant is very popular for its Truffle Risotto and the head chef was kind enough to show how he makes some incredibly good salad here. With the help of one of us the chef shared his tips and techniques on how to make a nice salad and trust me that salad was delicious.
Time to move on to our 4th tasting and as we were walking out from this restaurant we all were pleasantly surprised since to go to the next restaurant we didn’t had to walk instead we took the special autos which dropped us at Fratelli La Bufala. The most special welcome was here, greeted with big smiles the staff handed us our lovely drinks which were absolutely refreshing. At this place chef Peppe taught us how to make the best pizzas and I made one with a lot of my favorite ingredients, tasted crunchy and divine. For the dessert they handed us Tiramisu which was rich, creamy and tasted fabulous.
From here we moved on to our 5th restaurant which was my favorite Indian restaurant, House Of Curry. This restaurant has some really rustic feel because of it’s amazing interiors. Here the chef introduced to us some of the basic ingredients used in Indian cooking, it was an interesting session after which we got to taste some of the signature curries with some hot ‘naans’.
Lastly we were on to our final restaurant which was the Counter, here we got to learn about how to make a perfect burger with some of the best ingredients and fillets. I was so amazed by the variety of sauces they use which adds tantalizing flavours to your lovely burgers.
And like this my friends my fun filled weekend came to an end. Thanks to Sumitra and her lovely team for having me on board and making this experience so much different from our usual tasting session. Will be cherishing the happy memories I had here for a while.
