Best Chinese Restaurants in Dubai

Being a fan of Chinese cuisine in particular I find myself craving for the fried rice, the moreish meats simmered in a tangy sauce and their heavenly desserts more so often. Dubai, fortunately, has many upscale restaurants which claim to be the best and authentic but which are the ones worth spending your time and money at? After dining out twice a week to find some of my favourites and which do not skim on quality of the ingredients, I have a list of restaurants which will make your experience amazing, regardless how difficult the scene in the kitchen would be.

Hutong – A recently opened restaurant in Dubai is Hutong, but don’t be mistaken it has already made its name in London, New York, Hong Kong and now it’s Dubai turn to fall in love with their food. I had the opportunity to dine in their New York branch once and since then I have been craving their famous Red Lantern Crab and the Dim sums. It’s a pleasant surprise to have the same dishes in Dubai too, certainly, I wasn’t disappointed and would be visiting the place quite frequently from now on.

Shanghai Me – DIFC is surely not shying away from Chinese restaurants, as it has another new restaurant on the block which is Shanghai Me. The decor is surely impressive and recently I have heard they have even opened up the outdoor terrace which I am yet to try. The food gets its influence from East Asia which is depicted through most of their dishes. A few of my favourites here are the Poached Chicken in Chili Oil and Sichuan Prawns. Can’t wait to head there to enjoy their terrace and have a nice drink in the winter months.

Hakkasan – With all the new restaurants dominating Dubai’s food scene we certainly cannot forget the once which have been there for a while and have done a fantastic job of maintaining their reputation when it comes down to food and service. Hakkasan sure is a global brand and there is no way it can disappoint you. You can see my love for this brand by the fact that I have dined at a couple of Hakkasan’s around the world be it Miami, London, Mumbai or the one in Dubai. I am always charmed by their new menus, desserts and the funky mock-tails.
Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, (04)-426 2626

Zheng He – Another restaurant which has influenced my love for Chinese cuisine is Zheng He in Jumeirah Al Qasr, I have been here countless times and each time leave with a stuffed belly and a happy heart. Overlooking the lake and the iconic Burj Al Arab, this place surely makes the ambience so romantic but it’s the food which keeps me coming back for more. One thing which I make sure to order consistently is the Peking Duck, it’s a winner.
Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, (04)-432 3232

Maiden Shanghai – I recently dined there again and can say with conviction that their food keeps getting delicious with every visit. Five is already popular among many of us but if you haven’t tried the signature dishes at Maiden Shanghai you are missing out my friend. I love the Dim-sum and the Kung Pao Chicken which are regular choices but I went through their Friday Brunch menu which looked promising too.
Five Palm Jumeirah, (04)-455 9989

Zhen Wei – Caesar’s Palace has some great celebrity chefs cooking up a storm but that shouldn’t let you overshadow the Chinese restaurant here. Zhen Wei has authentic Pan Asian dishes which you will love trying, the tantalising Dim-sum, the enticing Peking Duck and the delicious Wood Ear Mushrooms will make you a fan of this outlet. They have sophisticated decor and a varied menu which will definitely impress you.
Caesars Palace, Bluewaters. (04)-556 6666

Chinese food like you can see is my weakness, I cannot wait to get my weekly dose of spice and flavours at one of these restaurants. Do let me know which are your favourite dishes and restaurants in Dubai?
