Experience Moombai in Dubai

A new Parsi-Iranian cafe cum bar has just opened at the H Hotel, the idea behind Moombai & Co is pretty simple, bringing back memories from the good old Indian days. The decor goes well with the theme, bricked walls covered with old movie posters, a board with some do’s and don’t, a massive autorickshaw which is an important feature of Mumbai.

If you are here to sample some of the best street food, you are at the right place. Starting off with some special ‘Bombay Sandwich’ I get nostalgic as I remember my college days where at every nook and corner you could find stalls selling this delicious version of the sandwich. Their grills are tempting as well, not to mention the Masala Calamari was the bestseller at our table.

The mains were a treat for our eyes, the aromatic ‘Biryani’ had a generous side of ‘masala, ’ and the rice was garnished with fresh herbs and pomegranate. Their Butter Chicken and Patra Ni Macchi were two of our favourite without a doubt.

We ended our meal with a classic side of Baked Gulab Jamun and Kheer, both the desserts were heartwarming and delightful. Moombai & Co overall is a relatively relaxed placed to be especially if you are looking for food, which is value for money.
