Barely a week goes without me dining at an Italian restaurant, and if not eating out I am either cooking or dialing away for a takeaway. So with a new restaurant opening in town, serving up my favorite cuisine, would there be a doubt of me not heading there?
IL Capo in Westin, Al Habtoor City serves up trendy Newyork style food but still keeping the Italian roots in mind. With a place like this, it is perfect to gather your friends, sit down with drinks and merrily indulge in true Italian fare but with a twist of New York. With low lighting and decor with a classy historical feel and a touch of modern this restaurant seems like a gala place to be.
The food here can be both relished and admired, and what better way to start the night than with a colorful plate of Burrata Cheese. Importing this cheese directly from Italy, this place leaves no stones unturned when it comes to quality of the food. Besides the Burrata the Salmon Tartare should be a nice pick as well, with the crusty toast and the delicate fish this makes for a light yet delicious appetizer.
As the night approaches we move ahead with our second course being:-
•Corn Fed Chicken :- The dish had an impressive presentation, with a right balance of flavors. Even though the Chicken could be slightly more tender, I would still say it was satisfying.
•Lamb Chops :- With a combination of aubergine the overall dish was a pleasant meal. Drizzle it with some mushroom or pepper sauce for more great textures.
Wise to order their Classic Tiramisu, as this version of deconstructed Tiramisu makes a charming end to your meal. Each bite elevates your senses, and you wish you could have more of this little sinful treat, bliss.
IL Capo being a relatively new restaurant gives you the feel of being in New York and soaking in quality Italian food but in your city, Dubai.
