With a plethora of restaurants in Dubai, we are often muddled with options but there are a few restaurants which never fail to disappoint me, and one such place is the Michelin star restaurant, Jean George. I booked myself for a Saturday weekend lunch considering it would be busy but to my surprise that wasn’t the case at all.
The interiors are aesthetically pleasing and since the restaurant boasts a good amount of space it is divided into sections which distinguish each area for its purpose. After comfortably seated on my couch, I glanced at the set menu which has some of the specialities which the chefs highly recommend.
We start with a Beetroot Carpaccio and a Tuna Tartare which aren’t just alluring but have a definitive texture which will be adored by the people who fancy both the ingredients. Our mains were delightfully satisfying; I choose to go for Grilled Salmon whereas my better half got sworn in by the description of the steak.
The Salmon on a bed of mashed potato was splendid, and the Beef was made to perfection just the way my husband preferred it. I would regard both the dishes perfect when it comes to impressing someone with its presentation and texture.
Salted Caramel Sundae and their Cheesecake is probably one of the best desserts I have had in a while. I would go back just for their desserts, and with a side of coffee, the flavours are heavenly especially of that Sundae.
The restaurant currently has partnered with Dubai Food Festival where you can sample a three-course menu for 199dhs per person which is steal deal.
