Palace downtown is a hotel which has a dream location and the restaurants as well have the best view anyone can ask for. The hotel is simply breathtaking, every detail makes you appreciate the effort put into making this hotel simply outstanding. While I really wished that I was staying here but I was just invited to try their buffet in their restaurant Ewaan.
Ewaan is their restaurant serving Arabic cuisine and every night they celebrate a theme which makes it all the more interesting. I choose the BBQ night which takes place on Thursday so I enjoyed my long lasting dinner with a sheesha as well. We got an amazing table facing the Burj which made it all the more romantic.
Our evening started with some Mocktails and sparkling date juice. I loved the date juice but the mocktails were a bit too milky so not something which I prefer. From the buffet section we started off by having some soups and appetizers and the courteous manager got us some meaty grills which went absolutely perfect with a dash of lemon and my favorite garlic dip.
The starters did have a range of dips and fulfilling dishes and for the mains had an absolutely satisfying Lamb Oozi. Juicy, succulent meat was delicious. A live pasta section and flavoursome ribs are quite tempting as well. I did feel the Pasta could be a little more richer texture wise but other then that it was alright.
Dessert section would be any childs dream, a chocolate fountain, cakes, Icecreams and small sweet treats to end your dinner on a good note.
The service was phenomenal and the view is marvelous. It’s buffet so there is a lot of choices and yes I have to mention the Date counter where different variations of dates are displayed and they all taste so fantastic. So do make it a point to check out this lovely restaurant soon.
