Psara Island is a tiny paradise tucked away in the Aegean Sea. Its history dates back thousands of years, and the island has a unique charm that will leave you wanting more. Attractions on Psara IslandPalaiokastro, Built in the 15th century, the Palaiokastro castle is a must-see attraction on Psara Island. Church of Agios Nikolaos, This beautiful church was built in 1793 and is located in the centre of the village. The church’s white walls and blue dome are classic examples of the Greek Orthodox style. It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. Lazaretta Beach, This secluded beach is perfect for those who want to escape the crowds. Its turquoise waters and stunning scenery make it a must-visit destination. Lakka Beach, This beach is popular with locals and tourists alike. It has a lively atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and plenty of amenities, including sun loungers and beach bars. Lemnos Beach, This stunning beach is located on the north of the island and is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The waters here are teeming with marine life, making it a paradise for underwater enthusiasts.

Getting to Psara Island – To reach Psara Island, you can take a ferry from the port of Volissos in Chios. The ferry ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Alternatively, some ferries depart from Piraeus port in Athens that stop at Psara Island after making brief stops at other nearby islands, such as Lesvos and Chios. The frequency of ferries may vary depending on the time of year, so it’s best to check the schedules in advance.
