Town of Pythagorion: This charming town, located on the northeastern coast of the island, is home to several historical and cultural attractions, including the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani, the Tunnel of Eupalinus which is an engineering marvel, dating back to the 6th century BCE, is a unique example of hydraulic technology and a testament to the ingenuity of the ancient Greeks. The Castle of Lykourgos is a well-preserved castle, located in the heart of the island, it is a symbol of the island’s amazing history and cultural heritage. Visitors can explore the castle’s spacious courtyards, and spectate the lovely view from here. The Temple of Heraion is also just a few min ride away from the port, This ancient temple is dedicated to the goddess Hera, and is one of the largest and best-preserved temples in Greece. Cave of PythagorasAn hour from Samos and Pythagoreio, is the caves where the popular Mathematician hid, there is even a tiny chapel called Panagia Sarantaskaliotissa and the view from up here is quite mesmerising. There are two caves and from the main steps you can get to the cave of Santa Maria too!

Best Beaches: Samos is home to some of the best beaches in Greece, including Livadaki Beach, Pythagorio Beach, and Lemonakia Beach. These stunning beaches offer crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and breathtaking views, making them the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.

Village of Kokkari – Around 13min away from Samos is this coastal beauty, surrounded by White-washed houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and bright blue doors are just a few of the charming features that make Kokkari so special. The beach is surrounded by crystal-clear waters and is the perfect place to soak up the sun, swim, and relax.

How to Get to Samos from Athens:- Visitors can easily reach Samos from Athens by taking a flight or ferry. The island is well-connected to the mainland by a regular ferry service, which operates throughout the year. Alternatively, visitors can also take a direct flight from Athens International Airport to Samos Island National Airport.
