  • Ano Koufonisi is the main island and is filled with cobblestoned lanes, charming cafes, restaurants, and tavernas. In the north of the island, you’ll find the famous Xilonatics Sea Caves, which were once used as hideouts by pirates. Another popular cave is the Devil’s Eye, located between the beaches of Pori and Platia Pounta.   • Kato Koufonisi, also known as the lower Koufonisi, is home to some of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Nero, Pezoulia, and Fikia are all worth a visit and can be reached by boat from Ano Koufonisi. Meanwhile, Keros Island, which is uninhabited, has an archaeological site and is accessible via boat tours, where you can also find some lovely beaches to explore.

Of all the beaches in Koufonisia, Ammos is the most famous and is located close to the main town. Finikas, with its shallow waters, is a charming spot for swimming and lounging, while the long, white sandy beach of Pori, located about 40 minutes away by walk, is a paradise for sunbathers and swimmers.
