Bombay Brasserie – Heart Of Taj, Dubai

I feel extremely upset with myself for not being able to remove time to try this little India’s gem in the heart of Taj. Bombay Brasserie has the class, atmosphere and most importantly the food which a true Indian would love to savour.image

Chef Jitin Joshi has worked at intresting restaurants like Amal, Atmosphere and also Atul Kochhar’s award winning restaurant Benaras so this rose my expectations even more from this lovely restaurant I was at.image

Mohit the restaurant manager knew my likings in terms of Indian dishes and surprised my table with some desirable Indian food. Starting with some Lamb Chops, Murgh Malai and Roti Pe Poti starters. Most admirable and special being the ‘Roti Pe Poti’ where tiny breads are topped with juicy meat. Lamb Chops texture and the tenderness was loved by my husband and Murg Malai even though it wasn’t the best I’ve have had it was still good.image

As the mains were placed on our table the aromatic Indian spices prepared my stomach for a foodie tour of India. With a very homely Dal Tadka and spicy Chicken Tikka Masala add a dash of colors on your plate and flavours in your pallette. Chicken Biryani was light and not made you feel too heavy at the same time don’t forget to tantalising your tastebuds with Martaban ka Meat, a curry with magical winning flavours.image

Dessert definitely was sweet and rich, Lychee Rabdi creamy in taste and satisfying for the soul. Like this I definitely end up having a good dinner but at the same time the guilt of eating in abundance.
